Which one is best for oily skin? mineral make up or liquid foundation?

My skin lately has been very oily, probably bc it's summer and humid and my skin is reacting bc I can't remember having to use so many blotting papers. I use bare minerals matte on a regular basis but it seems like it's really been making me oiler sooner than usual. I'm thinking about switching to oil free foundation, any thoughts?Which one is best for oily skin? mineral make up or liquid foundation?
loreal bare naturale is the only foundation that works for me and i have very oily skin.Which one is best for oily skin? mineral make up or liquid foundation?
I have dry skin so I use liquid foundation , my mother has oily skin so she uses bare mineral make up. You should too. And never wear your moisturizer underneath it. Before you put your make up on rub your skin with ice and then wipe and use the make up. The colors appear more bright.
I think mineral makeup because it's a powder that will absorb the oil on your skin, the liquid may make it worse considering oil...and then liquid foundation can be oily looking sometimes.
Don't use liquid foundation because that can just make your face seem even more oily. Mineral makeup can make your skin seem smooth and natural! Give it a try! Good luck! :)
As a professional makeup artist for over 209 years get Bee Luscious Cosmetics Liquid to powder mineral makeup it is the only brand that is

truly hypo allergenic and will not clog pores.
mineral make up makes my skin realllllly oily really quickly

i use liquid foundation (almay truly lasting color) and then put almay nearly naked loose powder over that. it keeps my skin pretty oil free for a good amount of time :)
i have really oily skin and when i use liquid foundation my face gets sooo disgusting. i use clinique clarifying cream powder and its the most beautiful thing ive ever found. haha keeps me shine free alll day
don't use liquid foundation.

It clogs pores so bad.

it'll just make your skin more oily.

Just use powder and coverup where you need it.
Definately mineral makeup. Liquid foundation can make your skin look oily even if its not! I have oily skin mayslef and I use bare minerals myself
i have the oiliest skin u could ever imagine yuckkk lol but i still find liqiud foundation + finishing powder works wonders for me
I would have to say mineral make-up would be better ! See if they have a section for oily sceen. Good Luck :0)
def bare minerals

People who have tried the make up forever HD foundation?

Hey, i was wondering if there is anything similar to the makeup forever HD foundation and if you tried it, what do you think of the foundation? Also, if you found a better foundation please tell! :) thanks so much in advance:DPeople who have tried the make up forever HD foundation?
I think they have the only liquid foundation that I've ever tried that I actually like. But I don't like the way any liquid foundation feels (like, I don't like feeling like i'm wearing makeup) so I just stick to my bare minerals.

It looks good though. I'd suggest trying it!

  • Make up/foundation question?

I am irish and have a pale complexion and freckles. The skin on my face isn't even so I usually go and buy covergirl foundation. I've been afraid to try other types... I was just wondering if anyone knew of anything better.Make up/foundation question?
Honestly cover girl is a great concelealer but when you have different tones to your skin it isnt always the best. uneven tones can be easily fixed with daily exfoliation and as for the best concealer not many people have heard of this but its called Time Balm its a great even concealer that is specially made for people with light skin tones, any blemishes and freckles i think it would work wonders for you, your best luck is online and it runs a little more than the ';usual'; concealer but its worth it :)Make up/foundation question?
I also use covergirl because it works well and is inexpensive. If your looking for something better i would suggest department store foundation. There they will actually find you the perfect match for your skin tone. But the down side is that it's more pricey
as one pale girl with freckles to another i love the new mineral foundations they have out now, it lets your skin breath evens you out and looks natural. there are many brands out there but the important thing is to stay with the right color, i normally get the lightest color they have in it. the lighter colors have less red/orange to them and look more natural on use fair skinned beauties. i hope your not using foundation to cover your freckles they are so in, and those that say they are not attractive well they are just jealous. Be proud of the skin your heritage gave you!!!
go to sephora and try stila its amazing!!!
I use Bare Minerals. It is the best. Here is what i like about it: it doesnt clog your pores, it easily washes off, it doesnt wear off (it lastes a whole day with out fading), It wont cause acne, It comes in many colors. Theres more things i like about it but you have to find out yourself. Its expensive ut its worth it. You dont need that much too.

When you buy foundation, liquid or powder but powder is best becuase liquid cloggs your pores easier, make sure you buy the foundation the EXACT same color of your skin. If you dont then you will look like a ghost or a *****. Yes, exact. It will cover up pimples, flaws and freckles.

For more makeup try roaming different sites that supply foundation. If you go to covergirl.com and can chat online with a live representative and she will tell you what makeup color of foundation you should buy, other makeup colors that will look good on you and makeup application tips. But you have to share with her your problem areas like getting pimples in the t zone, your hair color, eye color, skintone and what other makeup and there colors you wear. Its great . i hope i helped. Bye
Today there are many other products such as Maybelline, Rimmel, L'Oreal, and more expensive products that you can find in department stores. You never know intill you try the product. Covergirl is a really good choice so you might want to say with that.
i use l'oreal age rewind. even though im 16, but it works!
You should try any of the mineral based foundations. They feel better on your skin then regular foundation. loeral has some.
try MAC foundations %26amp; two faced blush ....
I use tinted moisturizer. so much better %26amp; looks natural.
I have really fair skin too, I use and adore the color Porcelain by Bee Luscious Cosmetics Liquid Powder Mineral Foundation. It has been the only product I have ever used that truly blended in and was so natural yet great coverage. Its a great product and worth trying.
Yeah girl, try out loreal paris's foundation they are all great

    Make-up, foundation tips please!?

i rub my foundation in with my hand but i still have make up lines on my hair line which sometimes looks really bad, any tips on how to blend it in more? should i use a sponge or brush or will my hand do?Make-up, foundation tips please!?
use some cream and blend around the edges of your faceMake-up, foundation tips please!?
I use a foundation brush to apply liquid foundation, and at the risk of sounding too dramatic, it changed my life. I get a perfect finish every single time. Apply your foundation from the center of your face outward, starting at the nose and blending out towards the hairline. Then blend from the top of your nose into your forehead, and then down from the tip towards your chin. It is not necessary to apply foundation all the way to your jawline. If you are wearing the proper foundation color, it should all blend in seamlessly, and most people have very even skin tone around the jawline anyway and don't need makeup there. You just need to be patient and practice until you get the hang of it. Dot your foundation on the back of your hand and apply a little bit at first. It's easier to add more than it is to take it off if you accidentally apply too much. I prefer Clinique's foundation brush, but you can buy a very good one at the drugstore too.
Liquid foundations - makeup sponge or hand

    Compact powder foundation - Pad

Powder / mineral foundation - wide brush

With liquid, rub the foundation in with a circular motion, and just use you finger tips to spread into the hair line (circular again)

I find liquid better, as the others can make you look really powdery and its obvious your wearing it... which is bad :LL

Don't forget to check twice for lines or powder smudges, and make sure its your colour, it looks soo bad if not :)

Hope that helps a little :)
Id use a sponge for blending but make sure you change it regularly becuase they carry a lot of bacteria. Also trying blending upwards towards your hairline so by time it reaches it theres not as much foundation and it wont look as obvious.
You should use a sponge or a foundation brush anyway!! but maybe consider changing the color of your foundation to suit your skin tone more, this way it will be less obvious around the hair line, however rubbing it in more, could work! goodluck :)
Mineral powder foundations that are really close to your skin tone are less obvious and doesn't create a tide-line. Often liquid foundation can be a bit orange and obvious. A sponge may get more even coverage though and make sure to blend in with your neck :)
i would use a spongte or a foundation brush and it also might be the amount you put on your face

    hope this helps x

p.s i would make 4 dots on your face one on your cheek one on your other cheek one on your chin and on your forehead and then blend x
Get this link to find good tips and it will help you

    http://lovely2fancy.webs.com/apps/videos…

    I hope helped.
A sponge really works well if it is liquid make-up. If it is a powder, use a large brush.
Use your hand hun. I get lines around my forehand and i basically take my fingers and rub around the line in a circular motion :)

    Help with make up/foundation?

Everytime I wear foundation my skin breaks out really badly. I try to buy lighter foundations but I don't know.

What can I do to stop from breaking out.

I would hate to stop wearing make up because I love it :)Help with make up/foundation?
If you have tried changing products and still develops skin breakouts, you might have a very sensitive skin. First of all, go to a dermatologist to cure your breakouts and then get cosmetic products thats for sensitive skins. I'm sure if you walk around the cosmetic counters you could check them out first (even if it says for sensitive skin), try putting a dab just below your jawline and wait for at least 8 hours. If no breakouts then get the product. Hope this helps and good luck.Help with make up/foundation?
Make sure you wash your face every morning and night and don't reapply foundation from 8am at 6pm without washing your face etc.

Try an oil-free foundation or non-comegenic (I think thats the word) - it means it won't clog your pores, and clogging your pores causes the breakouts!

I don't recommend oily, pore clogging foundations like Maybelline Matte mousse for those who break out when using foundations although it is a good high coverage foundation.

Try Covergirl Clean make up wonderfinish or one of those other similar products! Look around.

There's one by maybelline I think and its got a high percentage of water and is supposed to be light and good for skin that breaks out from foundation, although I've forgotten the name sorry!

What is the best (make-up) foundation you have ever tried???

keep buying stuff, then it breaks me out in spots, or fades after a few hours.....helpWhat is the best (make-up) foundation you have ever tried???
    some kinda gorgeous by benefit

its not actually a foundation, its a foundation faker so it gives you the slightest amount of coverage but still looks gorgeous! What is the best (make-up) foundation you have ever tried???
Neutrogena. It's oil free, skin clearing, and won't clog pores.
    MAC
Fundiefoundation is quite good. Apostlerium covers spots. Biblebuff keeps a shiny nose or forehead under control.

What's the difference between foundation, moisturizer, and a make-up base?

    ...and tinted moisturizer, powder, etc.

Which of the four (or five) is absolutely essential?

Which is ideal for when you want to make your skin look nice, but don't want to look heavily made up? I see these girls on the street with this pale skin... but it looks cakey and gross.

Thanks. What's the difference between foundation, moisturizer, and a make-up base?
Moisturizer is to make your skin soft and prevent aging and wrinkling. After you put that on (and its necessary) then use a light concealer just on your trouble spots such as red spots, pimples, under your eyes, etc. Then use a light foundation (the cakey look comes from the foundation to powder makeups or to much foundation) put a small amount on your finger and then put small dots evenly around your face and then rub in in a circular motion with a make up sponge. Then apply powder lightly just enough to take away the shine. Doing it this way will even out your skin tone and look natural. Good luck. What's the difference between foundation, moisturizer, and a make-up base?
    Read a lot.
Despite of others moisturizer is not a make up material, it is to moisture your skin. It is important to use it expecially on cold weather and under sun (use one with sun protector). And for others I think you should read, it would be so long to write here.
moisturizer moisturizes, foundation and makeup base are basically the same, tinted moisturizer is like moisturizing foundation, powder is just to lightly cover up things. I think foundation is good if you don't use too much. Powder is only good if you really aren't trying to cover much up. Or if you would rather use concealer for blemishes and none of these things, that's good too.

    Mineral make up foundation?

Bare minerals, everyday minerals, Wei East Flawless by Nature Herbal Foundation. These are the mineral foundation powders that are all the rave. I already use bare minerals and have been for about two years but don't like that after a few hours it gets cakey if you sweat for some reason it makes your face itch and it sets into wrinkles. Has anyone used any of the other ones and are they better than bare minerals? I just want a light weight make up that won't clog pores and that won't get cakey. Mineral make up foundation?
bare minerals have an ingredient that is cheap called bismuth. Bismuth is a metal, and the metals cling to your skin, giving you that ';shimmery'; look. But that look doesn't last long if you are athletic, or after a few hours, it looks cakey for me too. I also have that itchy feeling too! Probably because we are sensitive to metals. They aren't lying when they say that it is all natural, because metal is natural, is it not? I would suggest you just eat better, drink a lot of water, and be healthy, so you can have healthy clean skin. I naturally have red, itchy, pimply skin, but when I eat well, and drink A lot of water, my skin is really clear, as it is right now. Drinking a lot of water and eating healthy can also bring a lot of color into your face. I got a compliment just yesterday on my clear skin, but trust me, if I didn't eat well and drink a lot of water, my skin would look all nasty and pimply and red and blotchy. Bare minerals aren't as bare as you think. They can legally call it bare, but I never found any mineral powder 100 dollars or 10 dollars to be all that great as they say. It doesn't even cover up blemishes like they say. :P Mineral make up foundation?
    I would go to http://www.thebodyshop-usa.com/bodyshop/鈥?/a>

They have this great stuff called Nature's Mineral's.
everyone's talking about how Bare Essentials are so great..

I used bare minerals and never have had a problem with it before, but you should use L'Oreal (sp?) if you want really good coverage.
I use Maybelline Mineral Powder and I've never had either of those problems.
i use sheer cover mineral makeup its really nice
Try purity-cosmetics.com. It is really good!

  • Which brand Foundation Make-up is best for women of Color?

I use MAC.... a bit expensive but it lasts an extremly long time. Paying only 25 dollars a year is acceptable. In fact go with their studio fix all in one then its even better since with the liquad foundation you have to use a powder. THis ends up costing more money....

The other thing that i like about mac is that it recognizes whether you have yellow or red understones, so its final product once it sets is perfect... you know how you see some people in foundations and later when they take a picture there appears to be a white stuff on their face,... that's what I mean.... or their face looks so much different from their neck color... MAC helps eliminate that

if you are looking for something a little less expensive, i use to use Revelon products way before Halle :) Anyways, their foundation is very light on the face... but MAC would be my first suggestion.... it lasts long and they have a lot of different shades

Hope that helps....Which brand Foundation Make-up is best for women of Color?
Maybelline matte mouse is really good, and so is Mary Kay. Mary Kay carries a lot of the unusual black women colors. Like, the in-between shades. I hope this helps you!

xo tinkerbell xoWhich brand Foundation Make-up is best for women of Color?
Iman, the supermodel, created a line of cosmetics for women of color.

i dint try it it but my friend did she said i work's good

    Cover Fx is pretty good.
loreal mineral foundation.it is a powder foundation, it covers all the flaws without feeling heavy. i promise it works
Any Mary Kay foundation. My best friend is a sales consulant and I go with her to parties. It works very well on colored women, and its light, wont clog up the pores. Its a bit pricy and you have to find a sales consulant in your area, but their products are really great!
    Fashion Fair, Iman, or Mac.
MAC has a pretty broad color range. More specific to dark tones would probably be, Iman and Fashion Fair.
I'm white, but my Indian friends swear by MAC. They can mix the exact shade you need...the only problem is that it's expensive.
Of color? Meaning Black....Im black and i wear Mac..Its the best
    MAC

Prescriptives is good, but I stopped using it when I disovered MAC
I know for a fact that mary Kay is the best. Granted, I haven't tried them before (in your shade. i've used them in my shade though), but I know other women of Color that liked them a lot. The unique thing about Mary Kay is that they have a lot of darker shades that most comapanies don't have. They have a lot of the ';in-betweens'; if you know what I mean. I hope this helps you out! Maybelline matte mouse is also good.

    xo tinkerbell xo
Hi! I realize I'm white so I obviously wouldn't know which is the best for you but I just wanted to tell you that I used that cover girl age defying make-up for about 2 months, and used a toner at night, it really helped to tighten my pores and now I don't even have to use foundation anymore! Here I've been thinking it was a necessity for so many years! Anyway, I just thought you might think it's interesting so I just wanted to let you know. Have a nice day!
LOREAL High Intensity Pigments! Wonderful Stuff!
i have to agree with the MAC suggestion.....I tried Mary Kay, cuz my mom sells it but, MAC is just a better product...

    Peace.
Mary Kay is great! And not expensive. At least half of the people that I know that use the product are black.
    Lancome
    i dont know..
Bare escentuals have several different shades for women of color. I love their make-up. It looks very clean %26amp; matches perfectly.
fashion fair. you can get it in macys.
    Bare Minerals
i would use the cover girl it has seemed to work best....
i love m.a.c nw45 because it comes in a creamy foundation/powder compact and its really 2 in 1.they'll run you like $40 but i think they are worth it.
black opal or posners go to CVS pharmacy they should have it!
m.a.c. products great for women of color. but NOT cheap but great investment. TRy some
I like L'oreal but now am using Maxfactor. Its the best and have the correct color for me.
My friends all like MAC or Bare Escentuals. ( I do too)

I have used them both and like them a lot. I think MAC powder can get a bit cake-y looking though, and I don't like the loose eyeshadow Bare Escentuals sells. So I usually use BE as my foundation and MAC for my color (cheeks, eyes %26amp; lips)

    Hope that helps!
    true match
women of color??? You mean Blacks? what is a woman of color?
I am not a colored woman but I am hispanic so I do have a little color and I have found that Clinique, although a little pricey, works great. The poweder takes away the oiley look and I personally dont look like I painted my face with a paint brush when I use it. :)

I know they sell it at sephora or macy's. Its more of a pricey product so i don't think you would find it at target or cvs.Where can i find this make up liquid foundation?
i know for sure they sell it at macy's and bloomingdales. idk where else.

    A good make-up foundation?

I use mineral powder on top of foundation. But I m not really fond of my foundation. I love the mineral powder, it makes my skin look bright and healthy but i m concerned about the coverage of my foundation. I have some acne scars? Not deep ones, just discoloration. What do you use and why? Iam 26 years old. A good make-up foundation?
I would just use a concealer on the acne scars and then the mineral powder. If you get a good concealer it will make your skin look flawless without all the heavy foundation. Try benefits erase paste or MAC studio fix concealer in the pot. They're both really worth the price.A good make-up foundation?
I use maybelline mineral powder foundation, it is great and I love it. After buying it and liking it, I actually saw that it was voted the best on Oprah's magazine, and the L'oreal one was voted second best. I have the concealer (powder mineral) by L'oreal, and the powder is not really as good as Maybelline's.

The only thing you have to check carefully is the color, unless you're really light or really dark you won't have a problem with it, but I brought my old foundation to try and match the color before buying it.

In most places it is 10 bucks.

Oh, by the way, I'm treating acne, have some scars that are getting really better now, and the foundation is still great, I haven't had any new breakouts because of the mineral makeup.
You could try MaryKay. I been using it for years now. It's great and leaves me acne free.** Google out MaryKay cosmetic and search for a seller in your area. Contact the seller and set a appt. and the seller will come over to your home and actually try out some foundation on you. So you will actually get the right foundation color.

It's about $35 but it lasts a longggg time.

And I'd recomend buying a foundation brush if you don't already have one.

    :]
You should definitly use any mouse. I LOVE IT!

like my cheeks are red n stuff without it, and it hides everything! but you just need to make sure you wash it off at night time or else you will break out with a bunch of zits!!
Clinique is good, it doesn't cause any breakouts like cheaper ones.
use either mineral, airbursh/spray/ or moose

    not liquid or powder

    those are terrible

What is a good make-up foundation.?

okay so i want to use a foundation but i dont know which one to use because i have sensative skin. is there any kind of foundtaion i could use that wont irrate it you would reccomend? What is a good make-up foundation.?
Almays foundations are amazing. I also think covergirl and neutrogena are good. My skin is super sensitive (i have rosacea) so i reccomend these.

Almay nearly naked makeup- light to meduim coverage, has a nice light refeshing feel, it lasts me all day, SPF 15

Covergirl Aquasmooth compact cream to powder- sheer to full coverage, easy to blend, can get oily so use a setting powder, SPF 15

Neutrogena Mineral sheers liquid- though there have been many bad reviews about this i personally like it, sheer to meduim coverage, drys to a nice powder finish so it eliminates the need for a setting powder, SPF 20

Everyday minerals- these are amazing, have a pretty good color selction, didnt irrate my skin at all

I DONT reccomend these because of a few bad experinces ive had with them irrating my skin

Covergirl Clean Makeup- made my skin very irratated and red, so i immedaitly washed off and returned, after looking at the ingredaints list and looking up a few of the ingredaints, i found many skin irrants in it

Covergirl clean powder- if you want to try this please get it in the fragrance free version because it smells horrible and made my skin red and blotchy

Hope I helped :)What is a good make-up foundation.?
I use Dinair Airbrush Makeup and its all water-based so it won't irate your skin. It's awesome. I've been using it for almost 2 years now and I've never been happier with any makeup. It makes my skin look flawless and it stays on all day. You should go to google and type in Dinair and it will lead you to their website.. i hope this helps...=)

I also want to choose the most usable.

Book make over appointments at the various cosmetic counters in a department store, then request sample of the recommended foundations and try each at home until you find your fav.Need help in choosing the right foundation (make-up)...?
No cover-girl ever looks natural, go with your natural look. Dont wear any unless your really hideous (I doubt you are).
I haven't tried the two foundations you mentioned so I couldn't choose between them...

Foundation is great when used correctly. It can even your skin tone and diminish the appearance of scarring or discoloration.

Go to a salon or makeup counter and have a professional help choose what is going to work for you. Over the counter foundations so rarely make a good match, look for the ingredient dimethicone (reflects light), matte often looks fake and go with something that feel light and silky. Anything too heavy will just look like cake.

And always remember the rule ';Less is More';!

Don't forget to use a little translucent powder to set your foundation. It will help you look fresher, longer!
    Maybelline Dream Matte Mousse Foundation
I believe foundation is the area you want to spend good money in to get the best look. I use Estee Lauder, it's about $35 a bottle, but lasts a long time. You just go to the counter and the sales associate will match it up for you.

I always had the problem, (when I used drugstore foundation back in the day), of not being able to get the color to match my skin tone to the tee.

WOW, DO NOT EVER use the Dream Matte Mousse. That has got to be the worst makeup out there!

For a flawless look, you need to step it up a notch or two. To be honest, it takes more than $6.99 to achieve a flawless look.

My advice: buy something that will help your skin stay healthy, while giving you an amazing, natural glowing look and last you much longer than any drug store brand.

The answer? Bare Minerals/ Bare Escentuals. You find find it at their website (search Google), Ulta, Sephora, or QVC.

What is the diff between MAC liquid foundation %26amp; make up forever liquid foundation
which foundation are you referring to?

    Different brands have different formulation.

So asking about the difference without telling us what are you using, what ya plan to use and ya skin type is like asking an empty question.

  • Best kind of make-up foundation?

Okay, so I look around in high school and everyones make-up is as perfect as it was that morning.

but my gets kind of oily. and runny.

what kind of make-up is the best to use and wont break me out?Best kind of make-up foundation?
I am really not so sure i use avon liquid and it stays on for like 30 minutes perfectly and them i re apply but i saw this girl she puts on her make up an it lasts her the hole day so if you find out please e-mail me .Best kind of make-up foundation?
I have combination skin. I use L'Or茅al Paris True Match Natural Minerals. I put this on as a base coat, as on top of a liquid foundation its does make your face look orange :P

I then use L'Or茅al Paris True Match Foundation, which is a liquid foundation. I have tried so many foundations before and this combination makes my skin look much nicer, and it lasts all day.

Oh and i've never found it caused break-outs, so its worth a try :)
NO BARE MINERALS! it has an ingredient in it that makes pores appear larger! Pur Minerals has a 4 in 1 Mineral Foundation w/ SPF 15. It doesn't have that ingredient in it, covers up any imperfections (freckles, redness, acne, ect.) and is healthy 4 ur skin!
A powder foundation usually doesn't make your skin greasy or oily, and doesnt get runny. I use a bit of that first as a bronzer, and then i use Maybelline Dream Matte Mousse to cover up a few blemishes. Its a little pricy (about $7-8 dollars), but it lasts a long time and keeps your face looking fresh all day!

Pls,anyone knows what is the difference between make up and foundation?

make up is just in general like foundation eye shadows lip stick and gloss lip liners eye liners all that stuff and foundation is a powder or liquid that goes all over your face and a little under you jaw line and neck. to cover your imperfections and make your face look smoother.Pls,anyone knows what is the difference between make up and foundation?
Makeup is the general term for any cosmetic that you put on your face (or body). Foundation is the skin-colored cream used for creating a balanced color.Pls,anyone knows what is the difference between make up and foundation?
Foundation IS make-up and you put it all over your face to even out your skin tone.
Make-up is like general eye shadow, eyeliner, etc. Foundation is in a liquid form of make-up put on your face.
Foundation is a kind of make-up. It is what it sounds like, the foundation. You put it on first, then all other make-up goes on top of it. It smoothes out the appearance of any blemish or dark or light spots and gives a polished, smooth appearance. It matches your natural skin tone.
Foundation is used to even your skin tone,it is makeup, bronzer, blush, etc. is applied after foundation. For more information:

MaKe-Up? Foundation, eye-liner, and eye shadow?

What brands should I use? I have a medium skin tone if that helps. What shade of it should i use thnx!MaKe-Up? Foundation, eye-liner, and eye shadow?
Foundation; Revlon ColorStay Active - it evens out skintone really well, it's a lot less thick than the regular colorstay, it looks so natural %26amp; stays on all day

Eyeliner; Revlon ColorStay in Waterproof - it never smudges %26amp; truly stays on all day. I was so happy when I found this because I could never find an eyeliner that would stay on all day!

Eyeshadow; I really like Maybelline - it's cheap, very blendable if you want to, stays on all day, and has a wide range of colors

Hope this helps =)MaKe-Up? Foundation, eye-liner, and eye shadow?

    cover girl works good.
Buy a gallon of paint. It will save you money. Hiccup
Try maybeline or revlon........ I like maybeline especially the pure maybeline cover up, but between maybeline or revlon i always end up with maybeline.... for eye liner and mascara i use the lash stylist, and eye shadow the mousse eyes shadow in lilac and the catty eyes one works really nice together......... and foundation the pure one it's made of water and can't clog up your porous..... gud luck
For your complexion, I'd go with earthy shades, the browns...Try L'Oreal black/brown Colorstay eyeliner...I love it!! I really love that brand...For eye shadow, try these:

Covergirl professional eye enhancers...This is an eyeshadow...with three different earthy colors...The three colors are called:

    Satin earth--light shade

    Toasted sand-darker brown shade

    Sunkissed sand-darkest brown shade

    These are all great!

For foundation, try using Max Factor Pan Stik, in natural beige color...That will look best, and compliment your complexion. Hope I've helped you!!
I am a down to earth person, not materialistic. I use Cover Girl and have since I began to wear makeup. I did try a few others over the years but still go back to using the same liquid foundation and all other products of Cover Girl. Normally, they have a color fan out for you to place your hand under and see what will fit you best. I have fair skin but in the summer I do tan so it changes. For the eyeliner dont use the liquid for anything, it is hard to put on. I dont have time for that crap, you also dont want to use the pencil that you have to sharpen and you have to use a lighter to get it to even work. Now the eyeshadow, I do believe that when it comes to color be subtle. Dont go outrageous 80's Madonna with pink %26amp; blue. I think the best shades are the tans, %26amp; brown for the crease. Dont forget the blush, my favorite is the natural glow. make sure to squeeze your cheeks inward an make ur lips look fish like. that sucked in area is where your blush should be. Dont know if this is what you wanted but I hope some of it helps...:)
    MAC. It is amazing.

    :)
for foudation use revlon for eye liner use maybelline for eye shadow use revlon again!!
bare essentials %26amp; clinique r both good for ur skin and rosey colors, and bronzey, go for warm colors. and also, go by ur eye color, rosey and red bring out green eyes...

On foundations, use one with a yellow base because most people have a yellow base in their skin color, so that would look more natural.

    http://beauty.iloveindia.com/makeup/appl鈥?/a>

I perfer pencil eye-liner over liquid eye-liner, but that's personal preference, I know a lot of people who like liquid over pencil and vice-versa.

    http://beauty.indobase.com/makeup/eye-ma鈥?/a>

I think eye shadow colors is also a personal preference. I like grays and silvers on my eyes.

All of those sites I gave you are great sites for make-up tips. :) Try them out and good luck!
for foundation- use bare minerals. it's the best. it will not clog your pores or cause breakouts.

eyeliner- use m.a.c. this eyeliner never runs. and it's not that expensive.

eyeshadow- you can use anything basically as long as you know how to apply it. and this usually requires a certain extent of creativity.

My 14 year old son is wearing make up ( foundation ), ?

should I be worried, or is this normal these days?My 14 year old son is wearing make up ( foundation ), ?
well i would not be worried, i mean so what??

If he chooses to wear make-up, or dress differently to what you and everyone else thanks is 'normal' then that's his choice and its his life.

If he were gay would you not be happy? he is still your child and you should just support him.

Have a chat with him, and ask him why he wears it, surely its better too talk too him than too a load of strangers?

maybe he is worried about how his skin looks etc, i mean why should it be diff for boys? girls do there hair and make up in order too feel attractive from a young age.

Maybe he is insecure and feels it gives him a bit more confidence

you will never know unless you talk too him will you.

just be calm understanding and none judgemental when you talk too him.

nikitaMy 14 year old son is wearing make up ( foundation ), ?
    Worried about what?

Wearing foundation doesn't automatically = gay. Nor should it matter if he did happen to be gay.

Wearing foundation may make him feel better about oily or spotty skin. You can help him by helping him choose a color that best matches his skin color.

Many men, gay and straight, wear foundation to even out skin tone, to protect it from the sun (many have SPF these days) or to accomplish a ';goth'; look in the case of very pale makeup.

And by the way, if you're worried about this, please buckle your seatbelt--his adolescence is going to be bumpy for you. Most of all, you can love him for who he is and his accomplishments, no matter what.
He's worried about his skin most likely...or its a trend going around amongst his friends.

I wouldn't jump to the conclusion its got anything to do with him being gay at all, and I wouldn't confront him about it. If he is thinking it, he wouldn't want mum/dad interfeering in something so personal at his age, when he really doesn't know what he's feeling himself.

Just step in if he's applying it wrong, eg. if its blotchy - he'd appreciate someone who knows what they're doing to help him out to make him look better (even if he more than likely will be really embarrassed about it)
More men are wearing foundation to hide skin blemishes. It's becoming more acceptable. Have you seen all the men's skin care lines with tag lines such as ';It's not your girlfriend's moisturizer.';? There's a move towards this kind of thing.

There were straight guys in my high school over 10 years ago who wore foundation because they had bad acne. Their doctors suggested it.
I guess whats the point of him wearing the makeup? If its just to cover up acne or something, I wouldnt worry. My husband and all of his groomsmen wore foundation to our wedding so they didnt have ugly skin in our pictures, lol. Maybe hes just wanting to even out his skin? If he was wearing lipstick, I might start to worry....
Try sitting down and talking to him and see whats going on. You might be surprised as weird as it sounds some guys use it to cover up pimple scars/ new acne. He could be in the experiment stage. Accept what he says to you because you don't want him to push you away. Hope I could help!
well, most things like that are normal now.

if i was you i'd talk to him and ask him why he is doing this.

    then go on from there.

don't be worried til you find out..

and do let us know why he is (email maybe)

and then go on from extra answers then
Maybe he has a pimple he is trying to hide from a girl. Boys will go to all lengths to hide them. Not all boys but most.

If you are really worried just sit down and have a talk with him.
Well its not exactly 'normal' but more and more boys are wearing make-up these days maybe he is slef consious about his skin so waers it to cover it up. But there is also a rise in Gay guys,

    x
It's just makeup, it's not like he's out doing heroin or anything.

It's more and more common these days for boys to wear, or atleast try out, makeup.
Is that all? Jus a trend. My best mate 44, straight, 18 stone rugby player uses foundation and moisturiser.

If he's got zits he might be trying to cover them

    Talk to the lad
There are a few guys at my college that wear foundation, either cos they have dodgy skin or to cover spots up. Or he could be gay or very vain?
well hes either guna be gay or if he has acne he might be trying to hide it or maybe if hes like emo or something he might just be wearing it as a trend
I know a lot of guys who are wearing foundation... Did you talk to your son and ask him what's going on? Don't assume anything until you talk to him..
    In my opinion - normal.

completely normal! just be thankful he isn't wearing bur-berry cap and a trackie!
    He could be gay..

    Or have his own style...

Find out if his friends wear make up aswell.

if they do his probably got it off of them.
He's either vain, gay, or an aspiring crossdresser.
It's pretty normal these days.. I wouldn't be too worried if I were you.
Well, does he have a bad acne problem? He might be selfconcious about it. Thats the only thing i can think of.
    Nothing to worry about,

i think make up on boys looks hot :)

    Lol

    xx
well i think thats really weird. doesnt he know that wearin too much foundation gives u spots????
i'm 14 and if i did that at my school i'd be bullied...

    no, NOT NORMAL!!!

what's the point in it anyway..?

    Best make up foundation?

i want a foundation that will cover everything up ,from pimples to blackheads to blemishes, please help i have tried alot of them but cant seem to stick to one. i like to apply with heavy make up so get me a good one. thanksBest make up foundation?
Make-up will just make your pimples, blemishes and blackheads worse, because it blocks up your pours and doesnt let them breath.

Here, try using these home remedies and tips.

Using Lemon is the best thing to reduce the marks and blemishes on the skin. It can be applied directly on the skin.

You can also rub a lemon peel on the skin with a little sugar on it or without the sugar. After rubbing it leave it on the skin for at least 10 minutes. If you practice this regularly you can reduce the scars/marks finely.

Grate potatoes, wrap them in a cloth and take out the juice. Mix few drops of lemon juice and honey to it and apply it on your face. If you don't want to apply it all over the face then apply only on the marks. Wash off after 20 minutes. (Potato has bleaching agents, which reduces the blemishes.)

Make a mixture of tomato juice and lemon juice. You can fill it in a bottle and keep it in the refrigerator. You can apply this mixture on your face daily with a cotton ball.

Honey added in milk powder helps in reducing the blemishes.

If you have real dark blemishes on the skin make a powder of dry lemon peels and orange peels.

Washing your pillow cases and changing them often helps, because the bacteria builds up on them and it blocks your pores which makes pimples worse.

Avoid touching your face because again, bacteria blocks your pores causing pimples.

Drinking lots of water to keep the skin hydrate and detoxified.

    Good Luck

    =)Best make up foundation?
you should try covergirl, it is great with all shades of color and they have this new foundation that is called ';true blend'; I was looking at this commercial for it and it hides all blemishes while you skin still looks natural.
Benefit is the best. Boing for on the spot issues, and Get Even for a finishing powder. They have actual foundations too, but I've never used them.

    Seriously does wonders!
Mary Kay Makeup is really good. My face used to break out alot until I tried Mary kay. It work real good. Try it, you will love it.
Maybelline, Mineral makeup, loose powder on top, then blush

Has anyone tried the foundation from Make Up Forever?

or any of there products?Has anyone tried the foundation from Make Up Forever?
I have tried their Face and Body Foundation, Duo Mat Powder Foundation and Mat Velvet + Matifying Foundation . They are excellent foundations but for different reasons. Face and body is more for a light-medium coverage and imparts a satin finish. Duo Mat Powder Foundation is good if you are looking for a matte powder foundation. The Mat Velvet + Matifying Foundation is for medium-heavy coverage with a matte finish. I found both of them went on smoothly and lasted all day with a little bit of powder touch up.

My all time favorite in this line is their Full Cover Concealer. A little goes a long way and it does a good job of coving up blemishes.

using normal make up %26amp; prevent my skin from getting damaged from the make up?I don't want to use mineral make up or mineral foundation. How can i still take great care of my skin while
';normal'; make-up seeps into the skin, clogs pores, and aggravates acne. mineral make-up sits on the skin, it doesn't get absorbed by the body, it just washes off at night. it also looks much more natural. bare minerals has won several awards for healthiest make-up brand, and is the only brand recommended by the national skincancer foundation, because it is actually good for the skin, and has a natural spf 15. check out your options at ulta, sephora, macy's, or nordstrom stores, to see, what works best on your skin.I don't want to use mineral make up or mineral foundation. How can i still take great care of my skin while
Aren't you a guy??? Anyway, just so you know, mineral-based makeup IS the healthiest makeup for your skin becuz it's natural. To help with damage makeup causes, use a good cleanser and moisturizer 2x a day.
Keep your skin clean and protected at all times especially from your make up. I use a great product that has my skin flawless. Email me at nesa23us@yahoo for more info.
Mineral makeup does not clog your pores and will not harm your skin .
Use oil-free foundation with SPF, keep it light, and always wash it off before going to bed. Why don't you want to use mineral faoundation? I use Bare Minerals and i really like it.

for 1, it covers up everything u need to cover up.

and 2 it makes your skin look absolutley flawless, and 3, it doesnt clog your pores, so its actually GOOD to wear it.

    its perfect.

    i love it.

if u have any more questions about makeup email me
The very best is Everyday Minerals. Try everydayminerals.com. The company sends samples for free. You just have to pay for shipping, which is $5. Before trying EM, I tried everything out there, from Chanel to Cover Girl. Nothing comes remotely close to EM.
I personally love Prescriptives, although it is a little expensive, it is worth it.
Mary kay is good, but expensive.

As for the cheaper brands. I liked cover girl clean, it's fairly cheap and works well.

Also loreal true match blends well and is not thick.

I bought the rimmel and it's way too think.

Everyone prefers differnt types. Some like thicker to really cover up stuff and some just want a thin layer to even out tones.

Mary Kay makes thick and thin that is why they really are best.
i really like clinique, and i definetley think its worth spending a little bit more for. i tried a lot of other foundations like ones from covergirl and maybelline and they worked ok but not as good as clinique. its also better to know exaclty what ur color is because when i used covergirl i had to kinda guess wut would be my best color.
    L'oreal True Blend. extremely flawless.
1)Neatrugena Skin Smoothing!clears up my zits and hydrates and covers good!

    2)Covergirl(anyone)
I have found that L'Oreal Bare Naturale, One'Step Powder Foundation is the best on the market as of now
I like Revlon Colorstay. I have a friend that likes Almay. It all depends on what type of coverage you want and your skin type. The website below has some tips on buying foundation. I think CVS or another drug store has a good return policy, that if you don't like it, then you can return it.

    Good Luck.
MARY KAY ALL THE WAY BABY! Its expensive, but I love it. It doesnt take much to cover your face, but yet it stays on all day. AND it doesnt rub off onto other people (like if you hug them)
I would have to agree with bare essentials makeup being the best that I have used. It is powder so you don't get that shiny look. I have not seen it available in stores though, just via mail order, and very expensive!
I love Almay Clear Complexion...have combination skin and it's great..

Best make up foundations? What do all the make up artists use?

Hi im a make up artist wanting to try out a new brand i am currently using Napoleons which i dont mind however wanting something new. If theres any make up artists what do you use? Also is anyone aware of a decent eyeliner that does not move and is long lasting?Best make up foundations? What do all the make up artists use?
I'd say MAC studio fix fluid. It comes in a variety of skin colors and is very professional. I know lot's of makeup artists use it, and i personally like it myself. I've also heard MUFE HD foundation works well too. There are lot's out there, ya just gotta try 'em all. I would say find a few foundations for different types of skin tones. Maybe a full coverage, a tinted moisturizer, a powder, a mineral foundation and a foundation stick. As for the eyeliner, definitely check out the Urban Decay 24/7 liners, they come in a huge variety of colors and last all day. Good luck and I hope i helped :-)Best make up foundations? IS THE BEST

Does anyone know what type of foundation make-up artist Carmindy from TLC's What Not To Wear use on the show??

The foundation that Carmindy uses from TLC is called

';ERA Face Spray on Foundation';. It has had hugely successful rave reviews and is suitable for people with dry skin to those who have oily, acne prone skin with rosacea. It offers a sheer, light to the touch coverage, and a natural look.

However, it costs a whopping $55, so expect to pay a LOT for this stuff :(

I don't think you can get this at any stores, and you have to buy it online, which also sucks too, but if you're desperate, what can a girl do?

Other cheaper, (but not as effective) alternatives is Sally Hansen AirBrush Makeup in an aerosol can $11. You can also try Dior Skin AirFlash Spray for $60. This stuff , you can get at fine department stores.Does anyone know what type of foundation make-up artist Carmindy from TLC's What Not To Wear use on the show??
She uses a professional spray on foundation. It's really cool because of the air-spray it goes on really light and natural looking, but you can't find it many places. You can try to find it from professional makeup stores on line, but it can get really expensive!Does anyone know what type of foundation make-up artist Carmindy from TLC's What Not To Wear use on the show??
I don't know! It looks soo good and natural though! I'm pretty sure she uses some type of spray foundation just because on everyone's makeup she uses a type of spray foundation so that's all I can think of..sorry!
You know I wonder too as I am a huge fan of the show. The best thing to do is write to TLC's What Not To Wear and write to Carmindy and see if you get an answer.

Make up / mineral foundation that is water resistant??

I am going on a holiday to Cairns in December and I cannot wear full on make up everyday due to the fact that we'll be in the pool and at the beach all day. But, I want something to put on that'll give me a clear complexion - something like mineral foundation. I want something that will make me look like I am wearing a bit of make up, but something that won't fade or get blotchy in the water. I also have fairly sensitive skin. ANY SUGGESTIONS?Make up / mineral foundation that is water resistant??
Rimmel Lasting Finish Foundation with Minerals. It won't come off until you wash it off. It's one of the best foundations ever made.Make up / mineral foundation that is water resistant??
You can use a MAC Fix spray to make it last longer and make it more resistant ... it won't be waterproof though. Kryolan makes a spray that will make it waterproof but you will have to order if it from a professional makeup store.

  • What is the best foundation that makes it look like you're not wearing make up?

Please don't say don't wear any, I want to.

Okay so, please give me a brand name and how well it works. Any foundations that are nonacnegenic or noncomedogenic, please name them too. I also want the make up to look like i'm not wearing any and can cover up dark spots REALLY well and pimples. Thanks for anyone who helps me out !!What is the best foundation that makes it look like you're not wearing make up?
Because you have really oily skin, I think you should start by applying a face primer. My favorite is Tarte clean slate. It's a little pricey, but a little goes a long way, and it is so worth it. I also like Smashbox light primer. Like you, I have oily skin... sometimes, after applying the primer, I feel like I don't even have to apply foundation anymore! I can't believe I JUST discovered face primers!!!

As for the foundation, obviously you should choose something ';oil free'; if using liquid foundation. You can also use concealer to cover up the dark spots. I personally don't use concealer, so I wouldn't be able to recommend a specific brand. Because you are concerned about pimples, I suggest you use a mineral makeup foundation. Depending on your budget... If you have some money to burn, I would suggest either Diorskin Nude (liquid and/or powder). If you are on a somewhat tight budget, I have tried the L'oreal mineral powder foundation before and i think it gets the job done pretty nicely. :)What is the best foundation that makes it look like you're not wearing make up?
    Dear Shelby,

If you want to try covering up dark spots, may i recommend ';concealer'; :)

But then again you can use foundation if the spots aren't too bad.

Lancome has this ';powder'; foundation that makes skin look flawless!

It gives nice coverage for zits/pimples.

    It's also a daytime moisturizer :)

You can also read reviews on it (128) :D
Try Maybelline's Pure Mineral Powder Foundation. It's good for your skin, makes your skin look less oily, and you can build the coverage on specific areas (dark areas, pimples, etc.). It contains no preservatives, no perfume, and is talc and oil free. I'm a big fan of this foundation - it makes you look naturally flawless! It costs around 拢10 in the UK. Hope this helps! :) x
i use Maybeline New York's Dream Matte Mouse. It's great! i have very oily skin too and it's great for absorbing extra oil and covering up blemishes. it contains natural oil-absorbers in the make-up so it continually keeps you shine-free all day long! it provides great coverage but at the same time looks like your hardly wearing anything at all. i highly recommend it! you can find it at any drug store, Wal-Mart, or Target. it runs aroun $7.00.
Pur powder makeup. Covers any blotchy spots and helps soak up oil to prevent pimples. It doesn't have talc or fillers so it won't clog pores. It's really subtle and the blush and bronzer it comes with look really natural.
I say any MAC foundation, they work awesome!!! I personaly like the Studio Fix Powder plus foundation. Its worth ur money, i promise. I also like Make Up Forever HD Full Coverage Liquid Foundation. I think thats what its called, and you can find that one at Sephora.
Maybelline's Dream Matte Mousse is a great full coverage, but lightweight foundation. The mattifying affect will help with the oily skin ;D
MAC Nc40 foundation is the best

Does wearing make-up everyday (foundation, blush, powder, etc) ruins your skin?

Even if you clean your skin at night and take all make-up out, does wearing make-up every single day ruins your skin and makes it look older over time?Does wearing make-up everyday (foundation, blush, powder, etc) ruins your skin?
i don't really know for sure but i think it is bad if you wear it everyday like all the time.it's like they say; ';too much of anything is good for nothing';.Does wearing make-up everyday (foundation, blush, powder, etc) ruins your skin?
my mom is 45 and my aunt is like two years younger. they have both worn makeup their whole lives (and taken it off at night) and everyone thinks they look like teenagers, especially my mom. i've actually had guys I liked say she was hot. (and my aunt goes tanning everyday, and has been going for years!) they both used moisturizers at night so that may be why.
    YES!

im not going to lie to you here

i used to have really really really nice skin and now its really bad with lots of pimples and dry oily skin

so my advice is dont wear makeup everyday

or try not to at least

if you dont like your skin and you want to use foundation everyday to make yourself feel nicer, go to wals pharmacy and theres alot of skin , moisterising creams that make your skin look gorgeous and you wouldnt need to wear makeup
well i ONLY wear eye liner (and that's it!) 5 times a week, or when i'm going out, when i'm at home i NEVER wear it, organic surprisingly looks good on me, but so does makeup. lolz. well here's the thing i exfoliate every night and well the eyeliner comes off easily, so far so good 4 me. but you seem to be using quite a far bit. BUT FOUNDATION EVERY DAY IS SUPER BAD!!!! it clogs up all your pores and you get acne and irritation, can cause wrinkles. if you stop wearing it, you won't need it because you won't have acne to cover up. DUH.
Yeah, foundation does block your pores and apparently lipstick also slowly lessens the original colour of your lips.

    Yes it definitely does.

Wearing it for hours on end everyday clogs your pores so your pores are clogged even if you wash it off.Try to use mineral foundation :)

That being said though, if you have perfect skin and use foundation in moderation you can still mantain good skin.

My nan is 73 and she wore it in moderation when she was younger and she would wash it off with a noxzema cleanser and icey water and her skin is soooo perfect! It's soft as soft can be and hardly and wrinkes and no spots.

Mantaining a good skin care routine and makeup in moderation is fine :)
NO it wont- there are many reasons why makeup can actually benefit your skin, so for those of you who have been mis-informed here's a little education.

First of all I want to clear the myth that makeup clogs your pores... Yes, some do, if they have certain types of oil (Mineral Oil) in them. However, many foundations don't clog, if they claim to be NON-Comedogenic they will not clog your pores. Read ingredients and labels.

Secondly, most makeup nowdays has sunscreen. SPF is your main defense in anti-aging!! A definite benefit for skin in the long run.

Third, many high quality foundations (not cheap crap at the drugstore)come with additional skincare and treatment benefits such as antioxidants, added moisture for dry skin, or oil control for oily or acne prone skin, there are even natural minerals in some forms of makeup. There are so many different types that do good things for your skin! And you will pay a pretty penny to get these benefits.

Lastly, makeup can provide enviromental protection to the skin. Besides the antioxidants in many formulas, makeup creates a barrier between skin and the environment. Pollution, smoke and other stuff out there sticks to it, so when you wash your face you remove all this junk that may have gotten into your pores! :) hope I helped out
definitely only use mineral concealor OR foundation, or a good tinted moisturiser on your skin. makeup can make your skin look healthier but it wont really be that healthy. i think a mazimum of 3 products five days a week will be fine for your skin, but no more as YES IT WILL BE BAD FOR YOUR SKIN, as you cant get every bit of makeup off once it has sunk into your pores during the day. =]

    Whats that new make-up foundation?

I saw a make-up foundation on a commercial. It had a dial to change the colour of the foundation. I couldn't find it on the interent and I don`t know the brand.Whats that new make-up foundation?
    Hey! It's from Revlon.

I tried it and there's actually not that big a difference between the ';lightest'; and ';darkest'; shades, so I don't know if I would really recommend it.

Anyways, this is the link :

    Revlon Custom Creations

    http://www.revlon.com/ProductCatalog/Pro鈥?/a>

If you want my opinion, though, Revlon has an even better foundation. It starts off clear and matches your skintone..works really well, and ends up being a lot more worth it then the dial version, since it has

    more shades in the end.

    Here it is :

Light Scarring into the skin, how do I cover them up and with what type of make up foundations?

I have Almay liquid foundation for oily skin. It blends in perfectly and covers my redness really well. It also helps heal blemishes; however, I have ice pick scarring (scars that leaves light random holes in the skin). So The liquid foundation doesn't cover those scars. Do I use concealer under the foundation? Any help would be greatly appreciated. :) Thank you everyone.Light Scarring into the skin, how do I cover them up and with what type of make up foundations?
google Dinair Airbrush Makeup its awesome. It covers everything. Ive been using it for 2 years now and i LOVE it...it makes my skin look flawless and stays on all day. Its also water based so its not bad for ur skin. its the best makeup ive used...i'll never go back to conventional makeup..anywho i hope i helped...=)Light Scarring into the skin, how do I cover them up and with what type of make up foundations?
yeah u can use a small concealer brush to hide the scarring that way you can just dab it on and it covers more well. after applying the concealer apply your foundation.

Two great concealer i would reccomend for scarring are dermablend concealer it lasts for 18 hours, and amazing cosmetics has a great concealer that provides great coverage.
try bare minerals foundation, and there bisque concealor as well., it covers everything with a light natural look.

Any good make-up foundation to suggest ??

I put on a foundation hen i go to school and some of them are just too oily, or they fade really easily after time, any ideas?Any good make-up foundation to suggest ??

ummm i use covergirl trublend and love it!!!
bare minerals, is very good, want to pay less? then go for everyday minerals....these are powder form, so they are going to be very good for your oily skin..

    check it out at

    everydayminerals.com
OK the liquid mineral foundation by Bee-Luscious I guarentee it will stay on all day even in hot humid weather. NEVER EVER feels oily. It has no oils or fillers to fade. The cheap stuff will always fade and feel oily.
    HANDS DOWN:

Make Up For Ever ';Mat Velvet Plus'; (available at Sephora).

I just bought my first bottle last night after having experimented with a sample for a week. Expensive ($34), but it's the best stuff I've ever tried.

My skin type is: unpredictable. Sometimes super oily, sometimes super dry. Blotchy, with one terrible red area that I have to cover. Not only acne-prone, but often covered in pimples in that one area.

Very important: a little goes a lonnnng way, so the best you can do to keep it looking natural is to use extremely sparingly. Start out with a teeny bit. Do one section of your face at a time, since it dries quickly.

If you have problems like me (severe discoloration issues), try the stuff. It has quality pigment that doesn't fade throughtout the day. The coverage is so great %26amp; so natural that it makes people look at my eyes, and not at my skin. It makes me look beautiful. :D
    dont.

wash your face everyday and night and use tonner.

then buy some face wipes that clear sweat and dirt off the face that builds up during the day and prevents shine. use them when your face gets oily.

and you'll have naturally clear skin without having to worry about makeup.
I usually hate wearing foundation because of your same problem. So I finally found one that I love, it's light, it stays on and I found just the right color.

It's by Biotherm, Matte Souffle'. It's like a mousse. Then I use a Mousse Blush by Land'come called ';Magique Blush'; with a very good brush. It stays on all day,
I love Chanel, but that may be too pricey. Here are some tips for whatever you use:

    1. Apply moisturizer before foundation (it gives the makeup something to stick to besides your pores)

    2. Apply foundation.

    3. Apply powder to set.
First put on a moisturizer, then liquid foundation, and then apply matte powder.

then your make up should stay on for a longer time.

(it will take care of the oil too)
Well first off, if you're still in h.s. your skin should be in good enough condition that you don't need foundation. You're still young and will be wearing makeup for the rest of your life...don't complicate it now if you don't have to! I'm 25 and still try not to wear foundation all the time-only when going out. Otherwise, I just set my makeup with loose powder.

Anyway, if you're insistent upon wearing foundation, the best thing to do is first of all, decide how much you want to spend and what kind of coverage you want. Department store brands (MAC, Lancome (which I use) Benefit, Clinique, etc.) are going to be more expensive, but they're made with better ingredients and you'll get personalized service which means it'll be easier to find exactly what you're looking for. They can run anywhere from $35 and up. If you don't want to spend that much, consider a good drug store brand like Revlon or Sonia Kashuk (at Target) which are decent as well.

If it were me, I'd choose to go to a department store and buy a quality brand. Although you'll spend more, chances are you'll get exactly what you want and it seems it won't be a waste of money considering it's a product you'll be using a lot. Hope this helps!
The Liquid Mineral Foundation by Bee-Luscious Cosmetics won't feel like that. The cheap foundations all have oils in them. Plus this foundation will stay on all day.
I use Revlon Colorstay Active (Lite) everyday and set it by dusting colorstay powder. I have combination skin which is very sensitive and which clogs easily with anything. This foundation has been very very nice to my skin. No adverse effects at all. It gives you light to medium coverage. It stays put in humidity, hot weather. Looks and feels like you have no makeup on. I have not tried the other colorstay versions so I don't know about those. But this one is worth trying. Be sure to MOISTURIZE your face atleast 10-15 min. before you apply it. It makes a lot of difference. Otherwise it is a little tricky to blend. Apply it on one area at a time so it will be easier to blend. If you get the technique, it is wonderful. Read the reviwes on www.makeupalley.com
Bareminerals is great try the kit it stays and looks flawless. Go to local bareminerals store or sephora so they can pick your shade.
    i use bareMinerals.

you can get it at sephora or order it online. (www.bareminerals.com)

its around $60 but it comes with warmth (to make it look like u got sun) and veil which keeps it on all day.

but if its too pricey than go to a drugstore and they have other forms of it like physicians formula which works really good!
first put on some un-scented lotion, and then use covergirl true blend. it doesn't fade in school for me, so hopefully it won't for you either. good luck!

I love Bare Minerals, but if you're looking for something inexpensive....

    ;)
Neutrogena foundation. Its the only thing I've tried so far that doesn't make me all oily. They have a good amount of different colors so you can match a little bit better and its not as thick as some others. Oh and bonus, it actually helps to keep my skin clear.

Mineral make up is pretty good but I still like having a good liquid base as it stays put longer. Plus mineral makeup can get pretty expensive and you have to be careful not to use too much because the color on it is really saturated.

    And always blend blend blend!
bare minreals from sophera is very nice expensive and there a process that goes along with it (my mom bought it, it even comes with a 60min. instructional dvd.)

    also

it was from america's next top model,

i belive it was by cover girl. it was called whips, it a light foundation that blends into skin.

    hope it helps.
It depends on your skin, if its dry, oily, or normal. Some

people have bumps on their skin, and they don't blend

well thats why it makes the foundation more noticeable.

What I would suggest is you to wash your face, then put

on lotion, while the lotion is still wet kind of, use a sponge

or your fingers and dot foundation on your nose, cheeks,

forehead, and chin. Then start blending outwards to achieve

a healthy looking skin tone. The reason you don't wait for

the lotion to dry is because it makes the foundation blend in

better and makes the moisturizer last longer and you won't

get dry spots on your face. You should try Covergirl's new

Trublend I haven't tried it yet but it looks like it would be

great for you. Just remember to blend really well to the

    temples, and underneath the neck.
I'm a huge fan of Perscriptives foundation because it's known as 'virtual skin'. It's the best matched foundation I've ever had and I've tried LOTS!

Also, you can easily purchase it in a store and not have to order online. If you rather online, though, you can browse the link below.

Bobbi Brown moisturizing foundation. It's the best thing ever!
I absolutely loveeeeeeeeeeeeee Bare Minerals. It feels like I am not wearing anything on my face and actually helps improve the look of my skin. I get lots of compliments on how my skin looks. I would definitely recommend! :)
    i use M.A.C power

you can use foundation however after you apply the foundation apply the power after and your make up will look flawless!!
Try puritycosmetics.co.uk. It is really good!
i use mac studio fix powder. it works great!
You should try mineral makeup. It looks very natural and IS very natural. I had this problem before and I didn't think mineral powder would work but it does. Try bare minerals, everyday minerals...or any brand you have available. Make sure it's 100% natural and doesn't contain bismuth...i think bare minerals has it but it still works great! You also have to moisturize very well as makeup doesn't go on nicely when your skin isn't moisturized.
I have tried a few, including Bare Minerals, and my favorite is Mary Kay liquid foundation. What I like is that it is light, blends right in to my skin, and is totally unnoticeable. It just looks and feels natural. The good thing is that if you get the one for oily skin it actually helps control oil when you where it. I even wore it on my wedding day!

Ladies help im looking for a good foundation make up that covers fine lines and looks natural?

I would really like something thats looks almost like a light tan.. it can be powder or cream...also I have light blue eyes, blond hair.. what shade of eye powder really brings out the blue.(Im from Canada hopefully I can get it here... most of the good stuff seems to be in the states only.) thanks ladies have a nice eveningLadies help im looking for a good foundation make up that covers fine lines and looks natural?
I've been in Make-up over 10 years. How long it lasts depends on your skin, and how you develop the ';canvas';, or how you moisturize, and covering the lines aren't as big of a task as you may think. Mary Kay is available everywhere. Even on eBay, or you can look up a consultant in your area. I would recommend a bronze or sable (brown) eyeliner, a little trick, if you have ';tired eyes'; is to put darker liner on the top lid, and a bit lighter shade liner on the bottom lid. As far as shadow, don't go too white, it makes you look unnatural. Your light blue eyes sound beautiful. You could use a mocha or white sands (Mary Kay colors) on the lid and a Java or Hazelnut for your contour, in the crease, to make a bit of a dramatic statement to your eyes. Hope this helps!Ladies help im looking for a good foundation make up that covers fine lines and looks natural?
CG TruBlend. It works great. Even if you get a shade to light or dark it blends with your tone. It also covers up wrinkles, and dramatically reduces the dark patches under your eyes If you have any.
    BIOELEMENTS
Loreal fine line foundation. Try testing the right color by applying a small amount on your inner lower arm. Eye shadow: anything but blue.
You can use all the makeup in the world but if you dont use a good cleanser, and moisturizer the lines will still be there. Also a good microdermabrasion really helps out to smooth the skin. This only has to be used once or twice a week. Use neutral colors on your eyes that is the most natural looking eye color you could wear.
    Try mystic peach by levalor
    Loreal
I would recommend Bukaki (for Fair Skin). My girlfriend uses it all the time. She swears by it.

I been using almost make up foundation from clinique but its kind of watery?has anyone experienced this?

Hi there, I have had that experience with tinted moisturizers and other light or sheer coverage foundations. There is not much talc/mica/solids in those types of makeup, which means it will seem watery or very very thin as compared to thicker formulations. I have used clinique's City Block which is a tinted moisturizer, and sometimes I think the products is way too thin. However, think of it the other way: more water content means less pore-clogging nasty oils, chemicals and greasy ingredients that could irritate your skin.

If you truly think the foundation is really too watery, how about taking it back to the Clinique counter you purchased from; they will definitely return it and be able to advise you on another product.

    Good luck!

Any good advice on stain remover for liquid make-up (foundation)?

(only if its not a delicate fabric!! ive never tried it on anythin delicate!!)Any good advice on stain remover for liquid make-up (foundation)?
Good old fashioned shaving cream has always worked for me. It has to be shaving cream, the kind that looks like whipped cream not the gel. The dye in the gel can stain on its own. Spread some on the spot, lightly rub in and let set for 10 minutes or so and launder the garment as usual. If it is a dry clean only garment just let it dry first. Shaving cream is just whipped soap and works well on most stains, even chocolate.Any good advice on stain remover for liquid make-up (foundation)?

I look a tool without foundation but I don't want it to wash off and make me look all streaky, Any ideas or help? :)How to keep my make-up on while swimming (foundation)?
Don't use the powder stuff, use the lotion stuff. That stuff stays on pretty good. And try putting it on about two hours before you go swimming.

I have some blemishes that are killing me! I want to get rid of them with some homemade cover-up. I have dark skin so how can I make cover-up for dark skin? How can I make a homemade cover-up/foundation?
For blemishes, cover-up will only make your pores more clogged and does no good to get rid of them. Use zit cream on them like Clearasil (about $4 at drugstores) and buy all-natural cover-up (its much better for your skin). They will definately have it at Sephora, but it could be pricey. Covergirl Cosmetics also makes skin products for women of color (its available at Walmart, Target, basically anywhere that sells makeup! And its cheap) Honestly making cover up isnt the best idea, but good luck!! best wishes~How can I make a homemade cover-up/foundation?
why dont you just buy cover-up? and cover up is not going to help your blemishes! why dont you try washing your face with a good cleanser using a toner and mousterizer? that would be way better for your skin anyways!

Ladies with rosacea-what is the best foundation/make-up to use? Currently using estee lauder futurist because?

it stays on well, and after trying many other brands and colors, it's the only one that has the right shade (desert beige). The problem is ; the last 3 times I've bought it in the past year the price has gone up 2 or 3 times, unlike others where the price seems to hold steady for 2-3 years!Ladies with rosacea-what is the best foundation/make-up to use? Currently using estee lauder futurist because?
I not only have rosacea, but I have large pores, and pale skin.

I've tried lots of different foundations over the years from Lancome (ridiculously expensive and ineffective) to Maybelline.

Consistently over the last 3 years I've settled on: Clinique Superfit and Bare Escentuals.

My fave is bare escentuals which really surprised me. If you use it, I highly recommend buying the kubiki full coverage brush and the concealer brush. Using those I get great coverage and it looks very soft and natural.

The other thing that helps tremendously is make up primer. I use a philosophy product called the gift and also got a sample of Laura Gellar from sephora. They really help to even the surface of my skin before I put it on.

One final tip - even though you didn't ask - Eucerin redness relief products - cleanser, night cream, etc. They are fantastic and you can get them at the drug store. They are a little pricey, but not department store pricey, and they are definitely worth it.

Good luck!Ladies with rosacea-what is the best foundation/make-up to use? Currently using estee lauder futurist because?
Estee Lauder is pretty expensive. Try M.A.C or Clinique for something cheaper and they are still popular brands that are good.
Mac product is nice and I believe you would be happy with the results
    two words: MINERAL MAKEUP! :D

i have rosacea too. (and large pores %26amp; pale skin, like the answerer below! hehe.) i've tried traditional makeups, expensive (everything from Clinique to MAC) and i think every single drugstore brand.

when i first switched to powder foundation, i tried bare minerals and it was terrible. i wanted to give it another try though. i tried 2 other brands called www.aubreynicole.com and www.everydayminerals.com.

now i use Joppa, and it's fantastic.

    great coverage

    natural-looking

no shine (bare minerals had tiny sparkly particles in it)

comes in 2 formulations (soft and full).

was actually formulated FOR eczema %26amp; rosacea sufferers

actually doesn't hurt/inflame my red areas... which is amazing to me, because everything else does.

also, my incredibly volatile acne hasn't flared up from this stuff.

reasonably priced, but don't let that fool you! this stuff is the gourmet of mineral makeup, i kid you not.

there are a ton of mineral makeup companies out there (bareminerals, the mainstream one that everyone knows about), but i think this one outshines all the ones i've tried. they just opened up their first retail store, and i honestly think they'll be really big in a few years -- the coverage is that good. i'm a member of an online acne community, and that's where i heard about this company -- a lot of people there use it and love it.

lol...i think i'll shut up now, before i start sounding like a commercial for them. :p anyway, if you do try it, hope you enjoy. i bought their starter kit, and a few others of their products. if you have any questions, let me know, and i'll tell you which ones i think were (and weren't) worth it.

If you have enough time to get on Yahoo answers and ask this question,

Maybe you have enough time to just go change your pants?
Throw 'em in the washer and try color safe bleach if the stain doesn't come out with just laundry detergent.
    try makeup remover
    rubbing alcohol or dish liquid

  • Best Mineral Make up foundation?

I have combo skin, undereye issues and blotchiness....

Do mineral make ups help with this?

    I want a glow..

But I might need something heavy, I have been using Dermablend.Best Mineral Make up foundation?
(I.D bare minerals) are made of natural ingredientsBest Mineral Make up foundation?
i also had combo skin and i use bare minerals. i actually had asked a question about whether bare minerals or mineral powder by maybelline is better, and a cosmetologist said that bare minerals is much better for your skin (whereas the mineral powder is simply a cover-up agent and won't help your skin). if you want to control the combo skin better, you may want to go to a dermatologist for recommendations on face washes or topical medicines (that's what i did). good luck!

I have combination skin and also when i have pimples they leave marks on my face so i need really good coverage, but not one that looks cakey!!!

The best foundations I have found BY A MILE are....

    1) the foundation I swear by, which i was surprised by, because I had never got on with the brands other foundations is DIOR FOREVER! it stays on so well doesn't dry out my skin at all or make it oily which is a first!! everyone has mentioned how much better I've been looking recently for it too

    2) estee lauder double wear is also really good, really stays on and a really good coverage!!

A cheaper brand, is Rimmel colourstay...it is really good, and it does last the 16 hours!! I use this when I feel like saving up my DIOR forever foundation!!!!

For the dark circles: Ives Saint laurent Touche Eclat, I swear by it!!! Its a brush pen, and amazing! gets rid of dark cicles, makes you look more awake etc,

Lemon Aid by benefit is also really good!! brightens the eye area...really good on the eyelids and the corners of the eyes!

Hope I helped!!:)A good full coverage make-up foundation?
Forget the heavy, cakey foundation. Use SHEER COVER! It works sooo well. The kit comes with amazing brushes, a light concealer and the mineral powder. It FEELS like you have virtually no make up on, but it will cover up any of your blemishes, red patches, and dark spots. Kind of like an airbrush! Best part? You can excersise while wearing it and it won't clog pores if you fall asleep wearing it!

    Good luck!
I'd go for Bobby Brown's Foundation stick, you can adjust the thickness as needed %26amp; it has won an award, see link below for more details:

I find her range of foundations are very good.
Revlon Colourstay is great for that as it is really thick and covers well. They also have a special one for oily/combination skin (: I also find that it doesn't clog up my pores.
You can use Maybelline Mineral Power Foundation its great foundation, and for the dark circles you can use almay's smart shade concealers. Honestly these both products are great for any kind of skin.
I have combination skin also and I used Loreal True Match line. I have gotten dark patches under my eyes and after I use my foundation I use Loreal HIP Highlighter to balance the color.
Try Soap %26amp; Glory concealer to hide the dark circles first of all %26amp; apply Stila face powder with Elizabeth Arden shimmer powder over it to add slight sheen on the face, that should create a perfect base for make up.
Have you tried multi finish, you can get it for about 拢5.00 a bag you just have to mix with water.
shiseido moisture mist beauty cake compact foundation is really good and it evens out skin tone really well. it isnt too expensive either
try the mineral powder foundations they are amazing, they cover all and you dont feel like you are wearing makeup its so light
    I use the MAC foundation.

It's a little expensive but it works great :)
    try a clinique foundation.
