My skin lately has been very oily, probably bc it's summer and humid and my skin is reacting bc I can't remember having to use so many blotting papers. I use bare minerals matte on a regular basis but it seems like it's really been making me oiler sooner than usual. I'm thinking about switching to oil free foundation, any thoughts?Which one is best for oily skin? mineral make up or liquid foundation?
loreal bare naturale is the only foundation that works for me and i have very oily skin.Which one is best for oily skin? mineral make up or liquid foundation?
I have dry skin so I use liquid foundation , my mother has oily skin so she uses bare mineral make up. You should too. And never wear your moisturizer underneath it. Before you put your make up on rub your skin with ice and then wipe and use the make up. The colors appear more bright.
I think mineral makeup because it's a powder that will absorb the oil on your skin, the liquid may make it worse considering oil...and then liquid foundation can be oily looking sometimes.
Don't use liquid foundation because that can just make your face seem even more oily. Mineral makeup can make your skin seem smooth and natural! Give it a try! Good luck! :)
As a professional makeup artist for over 209 years get Bee Luscious Cosmetics Liquid to powder mineral makeup it is the only brand that is
truly hypo allergenic and will not clog pores.
mineral make up makes my skin realllllly oily really quickly
i use liquid foundation (almay truly lasting color) and then put almay nearly naked loose powder over that. it keeps my skin pretty oil free for a good amount of time :)
i have really oily skin and when i use liquid foundation my face gets sooo disgusting. i use clinique clarifying cream powder and its the most beautiful thing ive ever found. haha keeps me shine free alll day
don't use liquid foundation.
It clogs pores so bad.
it'll just make your skin more oily.
Just use powder and coverup where you need it.
Definately mineral makeup. Liquid foundation can make your skin look oily even if its not! I have oily skin mayslef and I use bare minerals myself
i have the oiliest skin u could ever imagine yuckkk lol but i still find liqiud foundation + finishing powder works wonders for me
I would have to say mineral make-up would be better ! See if they have a section for oily sceen. Good Luck :0)

People who have tried the make up forever HD foundation?
Hey, i was wondering if there is anything similar to the makeup forever HD foundation and if you tried it, what do you think of the foundation? Also, if you found a better foundation please tell! :) thanks so much in advance:DPeople who have tried the make up forever HD foundation?
I think they have the only liquid foundation that I've ever tried that I actually like. But I don't like the way any liquid foundation feels (like, I don't like feeling like i'm wearing makeup) so I just stick to my bare minerals.
It looks good though. I'd suggest trying it!my myspace

Make up/foundation question?
I am irish and have a pale complexion and freckles. The skin on my face isn't even so I usually go and buy covergirl foundation. I've been afraid to try other types... I was just wondering if anyone knew of anything better.Make up/foundation question?
Honestly cover girl is a great concelealer but when you have different tones to your skin it isnt always the best. uneven tones can be easily fixed with daily exfoliation and as for the best concealer not many people have heard of this but its called Time Balm its a great even concealer that is specially made for people with light skin tones, any blemishes and freckles i think it would work wonders for you, your best luck is online and it runs a little more than the ';usual'; concealer but its worth it :)Make up/foundation question?
I also use covergirl because it works well and is inexpensive. If your looking for something better i would suggest department store foundation. There they will actually find you the perfect match for your skin tone. But the down side is that it's more pricey
as one pale girl with freckles to another i love the new mineral foundations they have out now, it lets your skin breath evens you out and looks natural. there are many brands out there but the important thing is to stay with the right color, i normally get the lightest color they have in it. the lighter colors have less red/orange to them and look more natural on use fair skinned beauties. i hope your not using foundation to cover your freckles they are so in, and those that say they are not attractive well they are just jealous. Be proud of the skin your heritage gave you!!!
go to sephora and try stila its amazing!!!
I use Bare Minerals. It is the best. Here is what i like about it: it doesnt clog your pores, it easily washes off, it doesnt wear off (it lastes a whole day with out fading), It wont cause acne, It comes in many colors. Theres more things i like about it but you have to find out yourself. Its expensive ut its worth it. You dont need that much too.
When you buy foundation, liquid or powder but powder is best becuase liquid cloggs your pores easier, make sure you buy the foundation the EXACT same color of your skin. If you dont then you will look like a ghost or a *****. Yes, exact. It will cover up pimples, flaws and freckles.
For more makeup try roaming different sites that supply foundation. If you go to covergirl.com and can chat online with a live representative and she will tell you what makeup color of foundation you should buy, other makeup colors that will look good on you and makeup application tips. But you have to share with her your problem areas like getting pimples in the t zone, your hair color, eye color, skintone and what other makeup and there colors you wear. Its great . i hope i helped. Bye
Today there are many other products such as Maybelline, Rimmel, L'Oreal, and more expensive products that you can find in department stores. You never know intill you try the product. Covergirl is a really good choice so you might want to say with that.
i use l'oreal age rewind. even though im 16, but it works!
You should try any of the mineral based foundations. They feel better on your skin then regular foundation. loeral has some.
try MAC foundations %26amp; two faced blush ....
I use tinted moisturizer. so much better %26amp; looks natural.
I have really fair skin too, I use and adore the color Porcelain by Bee Luscious Cosmetics Liquid Powder Mineral Foundation. It has been the only product I have ever used that truly blended in and was so natural yet great coverage. Its a great product and worth trying.
Yeah girl, try out loreal paris's foundation they are all great

Make-up, foundation tips please!?
i rub my foundation in with my hand but i still have make up lines on my hair line which sometimes looks really bad, any tips on how to blend it in more? should i use a sponge or brush or will my hand do?Make-up, foundation tips please!?
use some cream and blend around the edges of your faceMake-up, foundation tips please!?
I use a foundation brush to apply liquid foundation, and at the risk of sounding too dramatic, it changed my life. I get a perfect finish every single time. Apply your foundation from the center of your face outward, starting at the nose and blending out towards the hairline. Then blend from the top of your nose into your forehead, and then down from the tip towards your chin. It is not necessary to apply foundation all the way to your jawline. If you are wearing the proper foundation color, it should all blend in seamlessly, and most people have very even skin tone around the jawline anyway and don't need makeup there. You just need to be patient and practice until you get the hang of it. Dot your foundation on the back of your hand and apply a little bit at first. It's easier to add more than it is to take it off if you accidentally apply too much. I prefer Clinique's foundation brush, but you can buy a very good one at the drugstore too.
Liquid foundations - makeup sponge or hand
Compact powder foundation - Pad
Powder / mineral foundation - wide brush
With liquid, rub the foundation in with a circular motion, and just use you finger tips to spread into the hair line (circular again)
I find liquid better, as the others can make you look really powdery and its obvious your wearing it... which is bad :LL
Don't forget to check twice for lines or powder smudges, and make sure its your colour, it looks soo bad if not :)
Hope that helps a little :)
Id use a sponge for blending but make sure you change it regularly becuase they carry a lot of bacteria. Also trying blending upwards towards your hairline so by time it reaches it theres not as much foundation and it wont look as obvious.
You should use a sponge or a foundation brush anyway!! but maybe consider changing the color of your foundation to suit your skin tone more, this way it will be less obvious around the hair line, however rubbing it in more, could work! goodluck :)
Mineral powder foundations that are really close to your skin tone are less obvious and doesn't create a tide-line. Often liquid foundation can be a bit orange and obvious. A sponge may get more even coverage though and make sure to blend in with your neck :)
i would use a spongte or a foundation brush and it also might be the amount you put on your face
hope this helps x
p.s i would make 4 dots on your face one on your cheek one on your other cheek one on your chin and on your forehead and then blend x

A sponge really works well if it is liquid make-up. If it is a powder, use a large brush.
Use your hand hun. I get lines around my forehand and i basically take my fingers and rub around the line in a circular motion :)

Help with make up/foundation?
Everytime I wear foundation my skin breaks out really badly. I try to buy lighter foundations but I don't know.
What can I do to stop from breaking out.
I would hate to stop wearing make up because I love it :)Help with make up/foundation?
If you have tried changing products and still develops skin breakouts, you might have a very sensitive skin. First of all, go to a dermatologist to cure your breakouts and then get cosmetic products thats for sensitive skins. I'm sure if you walk around the cosmetic counters you could check them out first (even if it says for sensitive skin), try putting a dab just below your jawline and wait for at least 8 hours. If no breakouts then get the product. Hope this helps and good luck.Help with make up/foundation?
Make sure you wash your face every morning and night and don't reapply foundation from 8am at 6pm without washing your face etc.
Try an oil-free foundation or non-comegenic (I think thats the word) - it means it won't clog your pores, and clogging your pores causes the breakouts!
I don't recommend oily, pore clogging foundations like Maybelline Matte mousse for those who break out when using foundations although it is a good high coverage foundation.
Try Covergirl Clean make up wonderfinish or one of those other similar products! Look around.
There's one by maybelline I think and its got a high percentage of water and is supposed to be light and good for skin that breaks out from foundation, although I've forgotten the name sorry!

What is the best (make-up) foundation you have ever tried???
keep buying stuff, then it breaks me out in spots, or fades after a few hours.....helpWhat is the best (make-up) foundation you have ever tried???
some kinda gorgeous by benefit
its not actually a foundation, its a foundation faker so it gives you the slightest amount of coverage but still looks gorgeous! What is the best (make-up) foundation you have ever tried???
Neutrogena. It's oil free, skin clearing, and won't clog pores.
MAC
Fundiefoundation is quite good. Apostlerium covers spots. Biblebuff keeps a shiny nose or forehead under control.

What's the difference between foundation, moisturizer, and a make-up base?
...and tinted moisturizer, powder, etc.
Which of the four (or five) is absolutely essential?
Which is ideal for when you want to make your skin look nice, but don't want to look heavily made up? I see these girls on the street with this pale skin... but it looks cakey and gross.
Thanks. What's the difference between foundation, moisturizer, and a make-up base?
Moisturizer is to make your skin soft and prevent aging and wrinkling. After you put that on (and its necessary) then use a light concealer just on your trouble spots such as red spots, pimples, under your eyes, etc. Then use a light foundation (the cakey look comes from the foundation to powder makeups or to much foundation) put a small amount on your finger and then put small dots evenly around your face and then rub in in a circular motion with a make up sponge. Then apply powder lightly just enough to take away the shine. Doing it this way will even out your skin tone and look natural. Good luck. What's the difference between foundation, moisturizer, and a make-up base?
Read a lot.
Despite of others moisturizer is not a make up material, it is to moisture your skin. It is important to use it expecially on cold weather and under sun (use one with sun protector). And for others I think you should read, it would be so long to write here.
moisturizer moisturizes, foundation and makeup base are basically the same, tinted moisturizer is like moisturizing foundation, powder is just to lightly cover up things. I think foundation is good if you don't use too much. Powder is only good if you really aren't trying to cover much up. Or if you would rather use concealer for blemishes and none of these things, that's good too.
