It depends on your skin. If you have oily skin then yes it will create acne unfortunately =/ It creates a lot of blackheads and those are so hard to get rid of. Wearing foundation also turns into a really bad habit, I had it to the point where I could not even step out of the house without my foundation on. I recommend just don't use it.... wear mscara, eyeliner, eyeshadow, lip gloss, whatever else but just don't wear foundation and powder. It's terrible for your skin, it makes you wrinkle and age faster, it's an addiction, and it causes acne. I'm not sure about the mineral powders because I've never tried them before but those seem like a better option although I would just say don't wear any type of powder or foundation at all.Does make up foundation cause acne?

I'm 17 and I have a couple pimples here and there too lol i have tried sooooo many different foundations but i just recently switched from a powder foundation/mineral foundation to a liquid foundation and i find that i really lovveee using the liquid foundation because it makes the acne barely noticable!! (: Its amazing , i highly recommend trying it!
look for products that are oil-free and non-pore clogging. these products are specially formulated so that they will not aggravate or cause acne. however, keep in mind each person is different, therefore something that trigger acne for you might not trigger acne for one of your friends.
some good drugstore foundations include revlon, physician's formula and almay. neutrogena is also better for your skin. hope this helps!
oh and i forgot to add physicians formula makes a foundation powder that's called mineral wear. it's all natural ingredients so it's good for your skin and is specifically made for acne prone skin.
hey there! well im 15 too and i use foundation. and you really only get acne from foundation if you use it wrong. like putting it on when your pores are open, when your face is dirty, or not removing it at night.
Just remember to put it on when your face has been cleansed and fresh and always remove it before you go to bed. sometimes there are foundations that help decrease the chances of breaking out just depending on the product and what your skin is like

some foundations cause acne! its different for different people! if u have acne, dont use anything heavy! try powder!
but i use revlon colorstay! its awesome! did not break me out wat so ever!
bad products can cause acne.
